The 2007 Acura RL reliability score of 10.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
Acura a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty on the RL.
In addition, the RL comes with a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
According to Newsday, Acura "bears a name whose reputation is excellent for quality and customer satisfaction." The San Antonio Post-Express states that "the RL makes a nice package with the kind of quality and reliability that one can expect from a Honda product." IntelliChoice names the 2007 Acura RL a "Best in Class Winner" for SmartChoice Repair Costs.
However, as far as quality, the Detroit Free Press notes, "The RL's I drove also had several quality defects, including mismatched trim and poorly fitting pieces."
