2007 Acura TL Reliability Review [ 2008 ]
Reliability
The 2007 Acura TL reliability score of 6.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
The TL comes with a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty. In addition to the basic warranty, the TL comes with a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year/unlimited mileage outer body rust-through warranty, and a four-year/50,000-mile accessories warranty. Owners also get Acura Total Luxury Care (TLC) with roadside assistance for four years or 50,000 miles.
BusinessWeek reports, "Despite a panoply of high-tech features and performance worthy of praise, the best reason to own the TL may still be reliability and a low cost of ownership. The model earns highest marks in the category from Consumer Reports and according to Edmunds.com costs less to own over the long haul than anything out of Germany or Detroit."
