New 2007 Acura TSX Exterior Review [ 2009 , 2008 ]
Acura TSX Exterior Review
Exterior - 7.4 (Good)
The Acura TSX debuted in 2004, and in 2006 underwent a styling overhaul, which this year's model reflects. MSN calls it "a sportier look" and argues that the redesigned bumper and taillights give the car "a more aggressive appearance."
"The nose is clean and sharp. The headlights are narrow, horizontal slits that wrap around the fenders," says New Car Test Drive. "Discreet business-like chrome exhaust tips are tucked under the redesigned rear fascia at each edge and give the car attitude. Dual exhausts on a four-cylinder are cool."
Other reviewers notice that the TSX, adapted from the European Honda Accord, looks too Plain Jane for the class. The Chicago Tribune laments, "If only it looked as sporty as it behaves," while the Washington Post says the TSX looks "about as exciting to look at as any other Accord." Autobytel points out that this understated style makes the TSX "the stealth car of the entry-level luxury class and a great choice for those that like to fly below the radar. Unfortunately for Acura, most entry-luxury car buyers want to proclaim to the world that they're on the fast track to success."
