The Rendezvous offers a spacious, comfortable interior and a smooth ride, but doesn't deliver on the safety record, off-road abilities or value of others in its class. If you're in the market for an affordable midsize SUV, you should also consider the GMC Acadia and Nissan Murano.
The 2007 Buick Rendezvous receives mixed reviews. Reviewers find its engine power acceptable and list of standard features impressive, but its off-road abilities are almost nonexistent and its safety record is spotty. "Although it's more spacious and fuel-efficient than other midsize crossover SUVs," says Edmunds, "the 2007 Buick Rendezvous falls short of the competition when it comes to performance and cabin quality." Its appearance is stylish, if not extraordinary. "If you need a vehicle similar to a minivan," writes Kelley Blue Book, "but you don't want the image that goes along with it, the Rendezvous makes a comfortable and stylish alternative."
The 2007 Buick Rendezvous has an average sticker price for its class, though the Mazda CX-7 has a somewhat lower base price and the Hyundai Santa Fe and Toyota 4Runner have substantially lower prices. Kelley Blue Book says that in spite of "its high-end nameplate, the Rendezvous is not expected to hold a strong resale value, retaining less of its original value over a five-year period than the Toyota Highlander and Chrysler Pacifica." IntelliChoice gives the 2007 model a value rating of "average" for its predicted five-year total cost of ownership, as compared to vehicles in its class.
The Buick Rendezvous has two available trims: the base CX and CXL. Both come equipped with a 3.5-liter V6.
Rendezvous Performance - 5.9 (Mediocre)
Reviewers find the 2007 Buick Rendezvous' engine just adequate, but enjoy its car-like handling. "Rendezvous is such a car-like, smooth-riding vehicle that it's easy to close your eyes and imagine you're in a big, old Buick Roadmaster sedan," says MSN. continue

Reviewers like the plentiful features inside the 2007 Buick Rendezvous, contributing to praise for its spacious interior. There are two standard rows of seats, which can accommodate five passengers, and an optional third row that can hold two more.
