Buick Rendezvous Exterior Review

Exterior - 6.0 (Mediocre)

Reviewers find that the 2007 Buick Rendezvous' exterior, last redesigned in 2002, is adequate enough. "Big picture on the exterior design," says the Detroit News. "Way to go Buick and GM." Kelley Blue Book finds the Rendezvous' exterior design "unusual" and "intended to conceal its minivan origins."

Many reviewers may find the Rendezvous modestly attractive, but disagree as to whether it has the "refined ruggedness" that Buick claims for it. Forbes feels that the current model has "fairly strong styling. Though it is a Buick, the Rendezvous ... marks a big departure from the tired styling look of other Buicks." And when the Rendezvous was introduced in 2001, the Detroit News announced that it was "the best-looking vehicle [Buick has] come up with in ages."

But Kelley Blue Book finds that "[t]he Rendezvous' styling may be too upright for some tastes and it does not have the rugged exterior of a Sport Utility Vehicle, nor is it as sporty as some of its competitors." And MSN believes  "Rendezvous styling isn't likely to draw comments one way or the other. It has Buick's toothy grille, but isn't as smoothly styled as Buick autos."
