New 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Exterior Review
Chevrolet Monte Carlo Exterior Review
Exterior - NA
Reviewers are pleased with the Monte Carlo's racing-inspired exterior body-styling. While Kelley Blue Book claims that it has "awkward side sculpting," Car and Driver asserts that's just "good ol' all-American styling," reminiscent of when Monte Carlo was a genuine hot-rod muscle car.
While the LS comes equipped with 16-in. bolt-on wheel covers, standard on the LT are 17-in. machined-aluminum wheels (forged polished aluminum optional). The SS, on the other hand, comes standard with 18-in. machined aluminum wheels, but maintains bright-polished aluminum and chrome five-triangular double-spoke wheels as two available options. Kelley Blue Book asserts that the new wheels "help improve the Monte Carlo's profile, especially on the SS trim, but the old Lumina-like styling and proportion is still evident and lacks the visual punch of the new Ford Mustang."

While standard features on the SS include full-perimeter ground effects, lower-rocker moldings, dual exhaust pipes, and a race-inspired rear spoiler - heated mirrors and a rally stripe (available in silver or black) are optional. Cars.com claims that together, the features suggest its "NASCAR...racing heritage."
