2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Exterior Review [ 2008 ]
Chrysler PT Cruiser Exterior Review
Exterior - 8.6 (Very Good)
Reviewers adore the PT Cruiser's retro styling. The Los Angeles Times calls the PT Cruiser "one of the niftiest body styles to hit the market since Ford introduced the Mustang in 1964... It is pretty hard...to find someone who doesn't love its looks."
Style is one of the 2007 PT Cruiser's major selling points. It has the retro looks of a car from the 1930s or '40s -- in the words of the Boston Globe reviewer, it "looks like a car Al Capone might have driven" -- and reviewer after reviewer notes that the car drew crowds of onlookers during test drives. "On the roll, the car draws plenty of smiles and admiring glances," says the Sacramento Bee. Like those passersby, reviewers line up to praise the PT Cruiser's appearance. Edmunds says that "we can confirm that the Cruiser scores in the looks department." The Detroit News feels that "from a purely aesthetic standpoint, Chrysler always seems like it's having fun with this vehicle." Automobile Magazine calls it "this cute little toon car." Motor Trend thinks that the Cruiser is "The hottest looking retro rod anyone can afford. No matter where you go, people stare at the PT like it's a Ferrari."
