Dodge Durango Exterior Review

Exterior - 5.2 (Mediocre)

The Durango is a big, bulky SUV that features a tough and rugged look, but is seen by most as suffering from dated styling. Kelley Blue Book calls it "one strikingly imposing vehicle that looks every bit as tough as it claims to be," but Automobile Magazine notes that the "big-rig look is a bit antisocial for some."

The front grille was updated for 2007. "The Durango's new face is at once sharper and better integrated," explains New Car Test Drive. The reviewer continues, "The '07 Durango still features a high beltline that suggests great mass or perhaps, to some, great safety. The short front and rear overhangs, not typical of a full-size SUV, contribute to Durango's forceful expression. The short hood and flared fenders give the Durango the look of a big-rig truck." In general agreement, MSN, adds, "Not many SUVs are as bold as the Durango. I'm not talking only about the throaty engine note. Styling is bold, and big."
