Honda Accord Exterior Review

Exterior - 6.9 (Mediocre)

The Accord's styling is described by some as unmoving, but is still appreciated for its neat appearance. As Car and Driver says, "The body isn't eye-catching but has clean, neat lines that wrap tightly around the chassis."

Kelley Blue Book adds the exterior is "quite handsome" and "even a bit edgy," before noting, "There is a noticeable move to include more Acura styling cues in the Accord's sheetmetal, resulting in a much more upscale appearance. If the Accord's look seems commonplace, it's only because there are so many of them on the road."

However, with its last major redesign in 2003, there are some critics that share Edmunds' view that "the Accord is starting to show its age ... design elements are starting to seem rather ordinary."

Even though the Honda Accord has so many trim options, the only marked visual difference is between the Accord coupes and sedans. While Kelley Blue Book feels that the coupes have an overall "sleek exterior," which "gives the appearance of something much more expensive," it concludes that this is note the coupe for buyers "looking for a flashy exterior with long hood scoops and side louvers."
