Honda S2000 Safety Review

Safety - 8.9 (Very Good)

Government crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration award the 2007 Honda S2000 a perfect score of 5 stars in rollover and side-crash tests, as well as 4 out of 5 stars in frontal-crash tests.

Accident Avoidance

The 2007 Honda S2000 comes equipped with daytime running lights, vehicle stability control, traction control, brake assist and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). While auto writers at Consumer Guide warn that "top-up visibility [is] not great over the shoulder," they concede that it's still "better than in many rivals."

Crash Protection

Crash protection features standard on every S2000 include dual front air bags, integrated roll bars, side-impact door beams and three-point seat belts with an automatic tensioning system. Side air bags are not available.
