Exterior - 9.2 (Excellent)
The 2007 Hummer H2 has attention-getting looks. "For most people, the most important H2 attribute is its ability to draw a crowd," says Automobile Magazine, adding "on the street-cred scale, the macho truck scores a perfect ten."
Most reviewers agree that the SUV's exterior styling, adapted from the military Humvees, is a major draw. "If you love a bold vehicle that turns heads and makes the statement, 'get out of my way,' you'll love the H2," says Kelley Blue Book.
Motor Trend says the H2 is " unmistakably Hummer," and the "shape is an aerodynamic brick." U.S. News' reviewer, Rick Newman reports "Unsolicited remarks on the street were overwhelmingly gaga," and adds "military chic is in." Despite the H2s muscular, masculine, military looks, About.com found that the attention the H2 garnered was" was overwhelmingly positive -- and female." Automobile.com sums it up best, saying "the Hummer H2 is the perfect vaulted pedestal to satisfy even the most ardent exhibitionist."
Exterior Trims
The H2 SUT
The H2 SUT has four doors, like a regular H2, but replaces the enclosed cargo (and third-row seating area) with a short truck bed. The H2 SUT also comes standard with a sunroof.
H2 Adventure Series
Choosing the H2 Adventure Series trim level adds a black roof rack and brush guard to the H2. It has 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires and a full-size spare.
H2 Lux Series
The H2 Lux adds chrome assist steps, making getting in and out of the H2 much easier. It also adds bright aluminum roof rack crossbars, a chrome fuel filler door, chrome hood handles and chrome hood latches. This trim level also comes with 17-inch chromed cast aluminum wheels and all-terrain tires with a full-size spare.
