Hyundai Tucson Exterior Review

Exterior - 6.8 (Mediocre)

The Tucson's design is considered conservatively sporty. MSN finds it "conventional, so much so that I didn't notice a single person craning to look [at the] Tucsons. They sort of blend in with other SUVs."

For better or for worse, Edmunds notes that "it's instantly recognizable as a Hyundai product." Others, such as Newsday, feel that "it breaks no new ground" in this category. To the Los Angeles Times, the Tucson is "styled very much like a Vans sneaker, with thick composite body-cladding wrapped around the lower half of the vehicle, like the sneaker's rubber sole. This cladding lends the Tucson a plausible look of off-road toughness."
