Infiniti M Exterior Review
Exterior - 8.3 (Very Good)
Most reviewers agree that the M's exterior styling is attractive. However, some criticize its design, calling it ordinary or mundane, compared to class rivals. The Detroit News calls the M "crisply styled sheet metal and elegant profile with the home-market Nissan Fuga, and looks light-years newer and fresher." USA TODAY reports that its "sweep and stance are terrific."
Automobile Magazine call the M a "generic Asian-sedan shape with a big, bland rear bumper, a C-pillar kink borrowed from BMW, and a handsome grille plastered with a logo that's largely meaningless to America's luxury-car buyers," adding that the M "has lots of style, but it's generic style."
The M45 and M45 Sport are "Bold, deliberately masculine and sinewy," says the Washington Post. Road and Track adds that "the M45 comes across as sleeker and more athletically proportioned," with a "longer wheelbase and wider track push the wheels farther out toward the corners, endowing it with a muscular stance."
