Reliability
The 2007 Mercedes-Benz C Class reliability score of 6.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
Based on the U.S. News analysis of reliability information from a number of different sources, the 2007 Mercedes-Benz C-Class receives acceptable marks for predicted reliability. The C-Class comes with a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty.
In addition to the basic warranty, the C-Class comes with a four-year/50,000-mile drivetrain warranty, four-year/50,000-mile rust warranty, and a lifetime of roadside assistance.
However, reliability for the C-Class is somewhat questionable because of quality problems that have plagued the Benz brand. Identifix, a respected company that collects long-term reliability data, reports that earlier models of the C-Class have had some reliability issues with the car's engine.
