The 2007 Mercury Milan reliability score of 10.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
The 2007 Milan is protected by Mercury's new vehicle limited warranty for three years or 36,000 miles.
In observing the build quality, Edmunds points out, "You see, underneath the Milan's pseudo-Italian styling, badges and marketing slant is a Ford Fusion. And underneath the Ford Fusion is a Mazda 6 -- the car which sets the dynamic standard for the segment." The Kansas City Star agrees, stating that "it feels agile, confident and tightly built."
