Every Subaru Impreza comes standard with all wheel drive and class-leading safety features. The non-WRX models of the Impreza receive all-around solid ratings in government and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests.
Accident Avoidance
To help drivers avoid accidents, all 2007 Subaru Imprezas have symmetrical all-wheel drive, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and Electronic Brake force Distribution.
Crash Protection
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the 2007 Subaru Impreza 4 out of 5 stars for the driver and 5 out of 5 stars for the passenger in frontal crashes. In side crashes, the Impreza receives 4 out of 5 stars for the front seat and 4 out of 5 stars for the rear. The non-WRX Impreza models receive the highest rating of "good" in frontal, side, and rear impact crash tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
In the event of an accident, all models of the 2007 Subaru Impreza come standard with dual driver and front passenger front air bags, an advanced frontal air bag system with driver's seat position sensor and front-passenger seat occupant detection, front-seat-mounted head and chest side impact air bags, three individual rear head restraints and height-adjustable three-point front seatbelts with pretensioners and force limits. Also included is the lower anchors and tethers for children LATCH system, a safety brake pedal system and a collapsible steering column.
