New 2007 Toyota Sequoia Reliability Review [ 2009 , 2008 ]
Reliability
The 2007 Toyota Sequoia reliability score of 9.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
Based on the U.S. News analysis of reliability information from a number of different sources, the 2007 Toyota Sequoia receives excellent marks for predicted reliability. The Sequoia comes with a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty.
In addition to the basic warranty, the Sequoia comes with a five-year/60,000-mile drivetrain warranty. NewCars.com says, "Although the basic warranty that comes with the average full-size SUV is slightly longer than the Toyota Sequoia's, the difference isn't too significant."
The 2007 Toyota Sequoia has excellent reliability outlook based on general consensus that reliability "may be the biggest selling point," according to the New York Times.
Auto Mall USA says, "Like most Toyotas, [the Sequoia is] very well engineered and offers high levels of build and finish quality, and Toyota offers some of the highest customer satisfaction and long-term reliability ratings in the auto industry." AutoMedia.com similarly remarks, "It's so solid that, once you get in and close the door, it seems as if some guy walks up and welds it shut behind you. And there are no surprises -- it is, after all, a Toyota." The New York Times adds, "I would bet that over time, given Toyota's reputation for reliability, the Sequoia will be a stranger at the repair shop."
