Toyota Sienna

Overall Score - 9.2 (Excellent)

The Sienna delivers one of the best combinations of power, comfort, and interior space in its class.

Reviewers find that the 2007 Toyota Sienna is a comfortable, safe, and reliable minivan with a surprising amount of power off the line, a touch of exterior flair, and plenty of space for a family and its stuff. Automobile Magazine contends, "The Sienna is great for drivers who require the people- and cargo-toting versatility a minivan offers, yet want a refined, civilized vehicle." Forbes voices a similar sentiment, saying, "If one needs a lot of passenger and cargo room -- and no one would buy a minivan if they didn't -- then the Sienna gets our vote as one terrific family car." Built on a modified Camry platform, the Sienna, reports Motor Trend, is "loaded with many (if not all) of the best features offered by the competitors."

Consumer Guide names the Sienna a "Recommended Pick," explaining that it "combines good ideas from rival minivans with its own appealing pluses, including first-rate refinement, build quality, and carlike road manners." Edmunds calls it "the right mix of product and pricing" that "has the proud Toyota reputation behind it." Kelley Blue Book reports that the Sienna has "strong resale value" because of "its solid build and a spotless reputation for reliability." IntelliChoice gives the Sienna a ranking of "Excellent" for its predicted five-year total cost of ownership, compared to other vehicles in its class.

The Sienna is available in four trim levels: the base CE, as well as the higher-level LE, XLE, and Limited. All but the CE are available with all-wheel drive.

Sienna Performance - 8.3 (Very Good)

Reviewers judge the 2007 Toyota Sienna a solid performer that's more powerful than nimble. U.S. News auto reviewer Rick Newman calls the handling "heavy on the curves," but says that the Sienna "provides as much power as anybody would need in a family vehicle," and concludes, "Overall it's a very comfortable ride." continue

Sienna Exterior - 7.5 (Good)

The Sienna has attractive lines but, like most minivans, probably won't turn heads. Kelley Blue Book echoes the thoughts of many reviewers, saying, "The Sienna is smartly styled but offers nothing radical in the way of exterior features or design." continue

Sienna Interior - 8.3 (Very Good)

The interior of the Sienna gets favorable reviews for its spaciousness, utility, and overall feeling of quality at all trim levels. Edmunds writes, "We found the Sienna's interior to be comfortable and pleasing with high-quality fabric and interior moldings on lower trim levels, and leather seating surfaces and wood trim on the high-end models." continue

Sienna Safety - 8.3 (Very Good)

The 2007 Toyota Sienna offers an impressive range of safety features. "One of the main considerations for any family car should be safety," argues Forbes, "and here too the Sienna scores well." It receives high marks in both front- and side-impact government crash tests. continue
