The 2007 Volvo S40 received an exterior redesign in 2004 that reviewers consider sporty and refined at the same time. U.S. News reviewer Rick Newman is one of the writers who say the S40 "is a shapely, aggressive design that doesn't beg for attention but simply looks classy." Motor Trend adds to the accolades: "The handsome new body style is reminiscent of an A4 or Phaeton, yet it's distinctively modern Volvo and picks up cues from its bigger brother, the S60."
Exterior Trims
One of the offered exterior trims to splurge on for the 2007 Volvo S40 is a Dynamic Trim Package, and The Auto Channel is one of the reviews to like the outside additions: "A flat front air dam fascia, lower side-sill extensions, and a spoiler atop the trunk and lower rear valence. It visually lowers the car but does not give it an inappropriately juvenile 'boy racer' appearance," its reviewer comments.
