The RL delivers one of the best combinations of technology, all-wheel drive and luxury in its class.  If you're in the market for a luxury large car, you should also consider the Infiniti M or Mercedes Benz E Class.

Reviewers see the 2008 Acura RL as a solid pick for technology junkies who want a smooth-riding, luxury sedan that packs a lot of punch in the sticker price. CNET notes, "People who prefer a high-tech premium coupe but need a sedan would find that the RL makes a good compromise." According to Newsday, "The RL is a big step up from its predecessor and quite a value considering its standard equipment and its excellent ride and handling."

IntelliChoice gives the 2007 Acura RL an "Above Average" rating for its predicted five-year total cost of ownership, compared to other vehicles in its class.

The 2008 Acura RL comes in only one trim, but there are two packages available - the Technology Package and the CMBS/PAX Package (which requires that you purchase the Technology Package). The RL carries over into the 2008 model with few changes, and a redesigned RL is rumored for the 2010 or 2011 model-year, says Consumer Guide.
