Reliability
The 2008 Audi A4 reliability score of 5.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
The Audi A4 is covered by a four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and comes with roadside assistance for four years and unlimited mileage.
Consumer Guide lists the 2008 A4 as one of its "Best Buys" for the class, but also recounts mechanical issues with previous A4 models. Prior Audi A4s have experienced issues that range from coolant leaks to electrical wiring problems with the automatic doors and windows.
