Safety - What the Auto Press Says

Although the 2008 model has not been tested, the 2007 Chevy Express did very well in government crash tests.

In government crash tests, the 2007 Express 1500 earned five out of a possible five stars for both the driver and front passenger in frontal crashes, and has a three-star rollover rating with front-wheel drive.

Accident Avoidance

Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are standard on all Express models, and help avoid accidents by providing ample stopping power. For 2008, StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control is now standard for the LS and LT trim.

Crash Protection

All Expresses have frontal air bags, and the LS and LT trims receive head-curtain side-impact air bags standard as well.
