The Suburban delivers excellent ride and handling for its size, improved fuel economy, and a comfortable, spacious interior. If you're in the market for an affordable large SUV, consider the GMC Yukon for more luxury.
The Chevrolet Suburban has been redesigned from the ground up in 2007 with what most reviewers agree are positive results. For 2008, little has changed and the Suburban stays near the top of its class in our rankings, despite plummeting sales as consumers more toward smaller, more fuel efficient SUVs. Those consumers who truly need the Suburban's gigantic interior and impressive towing capabilities will have to be willing to fill its 31 gallon fuel tank fairly often. The Suburban is a fuel efficient SUV for its size, but gas costs can quickly add up.
