Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 Chrysler Pacifica earns praise for its updated exterior. Several reviewers comment on the fact that the minivan-like Pacifica SUV doesn't look like a minivan, which is a plus. The Detroit News says the styling is "a much more striking look than you get with a minivan, which surely provides a boost to your image."
New for this year is "a grille with three horizontal bars and hood strakes, or lines, that are borrowed from the art deco-inspired Chrysler Crossfire coupe," reports the Detroit News. However, some reviewers see the carlike look of the Pacifica as a sore spot. CNET says, "It's much more car-like than an SUV, with no attempt to look rugged." Kelley Blue Book simply finds the exterior "surprisingly reserved. There are no retro themes here. Instead, the styling is fresh and contemporary."
