Safety - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 Chrysler Town & Country has not yet been rated by the federal government, but features a wide array of safety equipment. In 2007, it earned perfect marks in government frontal and side impact crash tests for drivers and front and rear passengers.
Accident Avoidance
Accident avoidance features on the 2008 Town & Country include an electronic stability program, which prevents the vehicle from tipping over during extreme stability maneuvers; a ParkView rear backup camera (standard on the Limited, optional on other trims), which shows drivers what's behind the vehicle, and a tire-pressure monitoring system.
Crash Protection
Crash protection features include air bags for drivers and front passengers and side curtain air bags, crush zones in front and rear to absorb impacts and an emergency accident response system that flashes the car's lights to alert other drivers that the car is disabled.
