Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The 2008 Ford E-Series has not been given front or side crash test ratings in federal government crash tests, though the 2006 E-150 received four out of five stars for both driver and passenger protection in front impact crashes. Automobile Magazine says, "With the E-Series van, there isn't much to discuss in the way of safety features -- except the lack thereof."

Accident Avoidance

Standard accident avoidance features on the E-Series include four-wheel anti-lock brakes and electronic brake force distribution. Ford offers an optional reverse sensing system, which warns the driver if the truck is approaching an object while backing up.

Crash Protection

Standard crash protection features on the E-Series include second-generation driver and passenger air bags, front and rear outboard three-point shoulder and lap belts, child seat anchors and two front headrests.
