Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

Reviewers are not thrilled with the 2008 Focus' revised exterior. Most find it unattractive and unappealing. Automobile Magazine says the exterior is "horrifying," and adds that though the "front end is mildly attractive, there isn't a single line elsewhere on the car that doesn't simply shout 'Korean subcompact reject.'"

Car and Driver agrees, exclaiming, "Whoever styled the front fenders to make the 17-inch wheels look like 12s should be fired, immediately." They add that the "new look evokes the Saturn Ion, and no, that's not a good thing." MSN calls the styling "bolder," but does conclude that the car "won't win many beauty contests."
