Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 Ford Mustang Convertible's retro exterior earns good reviews. Automobile Magazine reports: "With its classic proportions, muscle-bound skin, and flashy interior trim, the Mustang convertible is a visual trip right back to that first decade. It looks just as good as the coupe."
The Los Angeles Times continues, saying the car "looks perfect and definitive at a glance. Those impressions only deepen and season over time. What a great-looking car." Reviewers from the Washington Post add that the Mustang coupe and convertible are "[b]eautiful," calling them "best-looking, best-made Mustangs ever." The Arizona Republic says the Mustang "resonates of the past without looking self-consciously retro. No one will mistake it as anything but a Mustang," adding: "Top down, the Mustang looks and feels great. Just about everybody checks it out."
Not only is the convertible attractive, reviewers also find it simple to operate in a few easy steps.." Car and Driver says that the "top is easy to operate ... and 13 seconds later you're working on your tan." Kelley Blue Book reports that the Mustang's convertible top "folds nearly flush when retracted, giving the car a clean, powerful, profile." And the Chicago Sun-Times concludes that the Mustang "looks good with the top down or up, which is something that can't be said for some convertibles."
