Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 GMC Envoy receives a very good score for its exterior styling. Most reviews say the SUV looks conservative yet rugged. Kelley Blue Book says, "The Envoy strikes a rugged yet refined pose that seems equally comfortable off-road or at valet parking."
According to Autobytel, the Envoy "has conservative, upmarket styling, yet has a masculine look that says it's ready to tackle the tough jobs." Freshened in 2006, the exterior boasts a large body-color grille, dual halogen headlamps, and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. Reviewers are largely quiet about the styling, though those who do speak out have very few complaints, if any. A variety of different exterior features are available on each trim.

SLE 3SA
The base model comes standard with front and rear color-keyed fascias, front halogen fog lamps, deep-tinted glass, chrome side moldings, a roof-mounted black luggage rack with side rails only, and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. Seventeen-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels are optional.
SLE 3SB
The upgraded SLE package adds optional black assist steps, a rooftop luggage rack with crossbars, and heated outside rearview mirrors. Eighteen-inch six-spoke high-polished aluminum wheels or 17-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels are optional.
SLT 4SA
The SLT adds 17-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels, optional black assist steps, optional washer headlamps, a rooftop black luggage rack with crossbars, and heated outside rearview mirrors with turn signal. Eighteen-inch six-spoke high-polished aluminum wheels are optional.
Denali
The upscale Denali model includes color-keyed assist steps, front fascia with fog lamps and cornering lamps, rear fascia with step pad, front halogen fog lamps, signature Denali honeycomb grille with chrome surround, dual halogen composite headlamps with automatic lamp control, adjustable rooftop luggage rack with center rails, outside rearview heated mirrors with integrated turn signals and memory, body-color side moldings, and 18-inch high-polished aluminum wheels.
