Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 Honda Accord's streamlined styling only scores mid-pack compared to other midsize sedans, but its bolder body lines still earn fairly positive reviews. Only a vocal minority provide negative feedback.
- "Honda's new mid-size sedan is decidedly more interesting to look at, with a bolder, yet cleaner overall look, starting with its aggressive new nose, and flaired wheel wells." -- The Car Connection
- "A bolder front end, deeper side sculpting and more pronounced fender flares give the all-new 2008 Honda Accord Sedan a crisper, more substantial look. It's also three inches longer than its predecessor and five inches longer than the Toyota Camry." -- Kelley Blue Book
- "The styling of the Accord sedan is tight and trim. The car has the tidy lines and lean cut of a well-tailored suit, and it contains hints of the Acura TL." -- The Family Car
- "The sedan, meanwhile, is a bit anonymous from certain angles. It's as assertive as the coupe when viewed head-on, with a bit of previous-generation Nissan Altima in its grille and headlights, but it loses some presence as you move around to the sides and rear." -- Cars.com
- Compared to the redesigned Chevy Malibu, "The taller, wider and longer Accord looks like it could swallow the Malibu whole. The design of the Honda screams for attention in the same way the first and worst Korean cars did, with a wild combination of elements including bulging headlamps, a squarish grille fit for a truck, and a crease along the car's sides that looks like the result of an accident involving a guardrail." -- Wall Street Journal
- "Holy cow, this car is ugly. In white, it looks like it was whittled out of a bar of prison soap." -- Los Angeles Times
