Safety - What the Auto Press Says
The 2008 Honda S2000 does well in federal government crash tests, earning a perfect five-star rollover rating, as well as five stars in side-impact crash tests for the front seat and four stars for the driver and passenger in frontal-impact crash tests. Within the classes of two-seat convertibles and affordable sports cars, the S2000 ranks high for safety.
- "Top-up visibility not great over the shoulder, but better than in many rivals." - Consumer Guide
- The "S2000 has one glaring deficiency: No turnoff switch for the passenger frontal airbag, which means it can be dangerous for young ones to ride in this car. ... Pressed on this issue, a Honda spokesman said drivers shouldn't take children in this car." - MSN
