Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
For the most part, the Range Rover Sport's exterior styling gets good reviews, and the exterior is ranked in the middle of the class. Resembling the regular Range Rover, but with a more steeply raked windshield and slightly more tilted roofline, New Car Test Drive says the Sport is "spirited, sporty, agile, with a snazzy look."
Kelley Blue Book says that the Sport looks "as if it is moving quickly, even when at rest." "It's essentially a slightly shorter LR3 with a four-inch haircut and reshaped to look more like the fashionable Range Rover," explains Car and Driver. New Car Test Drive contends, "Appearance-wise, the Sport so closely resembles the top-of-the-line Range Rover that it's like the Disneyland version of Main Street: It looks just like the real one built to a slightly smaller scale."
The praise for the exterior of the Range Rover Sport is also echoed by CNET, which observes that it "looks awesome. Muscular, sleek, and stylishly designed on the outside, it rules the road as the ultimate SUV status symbol." Cars.com adds, "It's a package that exudes class, distinction, and wealth", while Stuff Magazine exclaims, "The Sport gives the impression of speed -- like a latte-addicted Robin Williams -- even before you get rolling."
