Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The widely held assessment of the 2008 Land Rover Range Rover is that it has a beautifully styled exterior. The Detroit News says the Range Rover is "a stunner, with jewel-like head and tail lamps that reflect daylight with a dazzling prismatic effect. The skin is sleek and taut, tucked into tight curves around the corners."

The 2008 model follows classic Range Rover styling and retaining a boxy shape.  Reviewers agree that the boxy shape does not make the Rover look ungainly. "Rather it has a lean, even chiseled look, which is highlighted by side and back panels that are prevented from looking slab-like only by a seam running 360 degrees around the vehicle just above the door handles," says New Car Test Drive.  The build quality is immediately evident, reports the Kansas City Star. "The Range Rover is fashioned as carefully as a fine luxury car. Panel gaps are tiny, and the body has an elegant simplicity highlighted by details such as the jewel-like lamps."  AutoMedia.com reports "the front end is strong and horizontal, capped by Rover's trademark clamshell hood."  The Family Car perhaps sums up the majority view best, saying "from the moment one lays eyes on the new Range Rover, nothing short of 'beautiful' comes to mind."
