Lexus GS 450 Hybrid Exterior Review

Exterior - 8.4 (Very Good)

The 2008 Lexus GS 460 Hybrid exterior is attractive and striking. Forbes describes the 2008 Lexus GS Hybrid as "taking the art of subtlety to its limits" because the hybrid identification is merely a small hybrid badge below the rear doors, adding that the overall design has "sleek" contours and "angular lines with distinctive touches at every corner."

Kelley Blue Book reports that the 2008 Lexus GS Hybrid "has a smooth and sleek shape, with an arching roofline, high belt line and long hood." In fact, a surprising number of reviewers independently arrived at that exact same word to describe the Lexus GS 450 Hybrid - "sleek".

The GS 450 Hybrid has a longer hood and wheelbase and a lower, wider stance with more overhang, from previous years' models. While the hybrid system is noteworthy, Newsday finds the exterior of the GS 450 Hybrid "most impressive" in "overall beauty and design", adding that the Hybrid has "a sporty façade with a wide, powerful stance." Cars.com describes the Lexus as "a beautifully sculpted car, some of the best exterior sedan lines I've seen anywhere. It drew lots of favorable attention on the street."
