Lexus GS Exterior Review

Exterior - 7.6 (Good)

The updated GS styling incorporates the company's new design philosophy called "L-Finesse," which is intended to infuse more appeal into their cars. Despite the changes, which Forbes calls "more passionate," a few critics are unimpressed.

Changes include a long hood, a more pulled-back cabin and a shorter rear end, which recalls the classic sports sedan look, says MSN. Kelley Blue Book calls the fastback-style roofline that terminates into a short rear deck the "most notable design element," evoking the first-generation Lexus GS styling. Cars.com adds that "Long side glass and a steep back window enhance the GS 350's performance image." In contrast, auto writers from Kelley Blue Book are in awe with the fact "that Lexus has managed to develop such a passionate following while wrapping its cars in admittedly bland styling."
