Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Critics agree that the 2008 Maserati Quattroporte is beautiful. In fact, Car and Driver remarks, "We're not big fans of calling cars 'sexy,' but if any one marque's cars truly deserve the designation, it's those produced by Maserati."
While the Orlando Sentinel says it's "undeniably one of the best-looking sedans made," Edmunds calls the Quattroporte one of the "most sensuously styled sedans ever." Because there are so few Quattraportes on the road, it commands attention wherever it goes. "Not only has it very distinctive looks it also has that 'what is it?' factor as the numbers compared to BMW and Mercedes are miniscule," writes The Auto Channel. AutoWeek agrees, claiming it "drew admiring glances in a town where Bentleys line the curbs."
Standard on every Quattroporte are heated mirrors, a power tilt/sliding sunroof, and rain sensing wipers. The GT S differs from the base model in that it has a more menacing look. "On the outside, the big changes that transform a Quattroporte into a Sport GT S include a black chrome mesh grille, black-color window frames, new twin exhaust pipes and door handles finished in body color instead of chrome," says Edmunds. "The changes are subtle, but they give the car a more serious countenance than before."
