Exterior - What the Auto Press Says

The 2008 B-Series' exterior styling is very similar to that of its sibling, the Ford Ranger. Where it differs is in its grille, which features horizontal bars instead of Ford's egg crate design. "To set the B-Series apart from the Ford Ranger, Mazda performs a front-end freshening, with more brightwork around the grille and headlamps and a raised 'power dome' hood," explains Kelley Blue Book.

Each B-Series model and trim level offers varying degrees of exterior touches. The B2300's exterior styling includes black door handles, black bumpers, a rear step bumper, black front grille trim, cargo-bed tie down hooks, black front and rear mud guards, 15-inch styled steel wheels, halogen clear-lens headlights, and manual side mirrors. Optional on the B2300 only are chrome bumpers, a chrome front grille, and 15-inch alloy wheels. A bedliner is optional on both models.

The B4000 features black door handles, black bumpers, a rear step bumper, black wheel-arch moldings, black front grille trim, cargo-bed tie down hooks, contoured front and rear mudguards, 15-inch styled steel wheels, halogen clear-lens headlights, and manual side mirrors. A bedliner is optional. The top-of-the-line B4000 SE adds a bedliner, chrome front grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, and remote side mirrors. Optional features include body-color door handles, body-color bumpers, body-color wheel-arch moldings, and a body-color front grille.
