Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Bold and upscale styling help the 2008 Mercedes Benz C-Class rank near the top of the class for exterior looks. Most reviewers are particularly fond of the way the C-Class' styling emulates larger, more expensive Benzes.
- "The new C-Class Luxury and C-Class Sport sedans are stunningly beautiful -- taut exterior lines softened by rounded surfaces; each with an interior that easily rivals those of substantially more costly automobiles." -- Washington Post
- The C-Class is "not simply a miniaturized version of the new S-class as originally thought. The crease below the door handles is there, but thankfully the big sedan's bulbous fenders did not make the cut." -- Road and Track
- "Personally, my favorite aspect of the new C-Class is the styling, which moves from slightly apologetic to bold and a bit threatening on the Sport, clearly influenced by the tweaks AMG, Mercedes' in-house performance tuner, has made to its own models these past few years." -- Orlando Sentinel
- "The C-class shares the S-class' stiff-necked formality -- the level hood, the upright grille, the classic roof-line arch. All in all, very like an S-class, Sire." -- Los Angeles Times
- "It looks much like the redesigned S-Class." -- Cars.com
- "The once-sedate C-Class comes alive with eye-catching new sheet metal. …Following the styling of the new S-Class, the C-Class appears more on the cutting edge." -- Kelley Blue Book
