Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Mercedes calls the CLS a coupe, but most reviewers call the CLS a stylish and sleek luxury sedan, with its arcing roofline and distinct shape.
Automobile Magazine says the CLS is "sedan as sex object, a sculpted, sultry redefinition of the premise that sedans, no matter how fast, are restrained by the dictates of four-door practicality." Car and Driver finds "hot, hot sheetmetal" and adds that you're "rolling in arguably one of the sexiest cars ever made -- certainly one of the sexiest on sale today -- a car that can get even blind men panting." Edmunds says the CLS' "long, arcing roofline and edgy details give it real personality, and accurately reflect its athleticism." According to Kelley Blue Book, the aerodynamic body of the CLS is a "stunningly sleek profile and lavish four-passenger interior, the CLS is clearly not your run-of-the-mill luxury sedan; it's a car equally adept at satisfying both the driver's senses and ego."
