Safety - What the Auto Press Says

According to federal government crash tests, the 2008 350Z Roadster earns five out of five stars for driver safety in frontal crashes, and four stars for the passenger. In rollover and side crash tests, the Z earns five stars. The 350Z Roadster is equipped with a wide array of safety features.

Accident Avoidance

In addition to a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the 2008 350Z Roadster comes equipped with a comprehensive braking system -- which includes anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake force Distribution, Brake Assist and Traction Control. While the Enthusiast and Touring trims feature power-assisted vented front/rear brakes, the Grand Touring trim comes with a Brembo braking system and Vehicle Dynamic Control.

Crash Protection

Crash protection features standard on every 2008 350Z Roadster include Nissan's Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and occupant-classification sensor, driver/passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags and active head restraints. Also, every trim comes standard with a three-point seat belt system, child-seat anchors, energy-absorbing steering column, Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones, pipe-style steel side-door guard beams and hood buckling creases.
