Safety - What the Auto Press Says

According to government crash tests, the 2008 Armada earns five of five stars in driver protection and four of five stars in front-passenger protection in frontal crash tests. Moreover, the Armada earns a rollover rating of three of five stars.

Accident Avoidance

Standard on the Armada are anti-lock brakes with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution, an electronic stability control system with traction control, and a tire-pressure monitor. An optional rear view monitor displays an image of what's behind the Armada when the transmission is throw into reverse. Auto Mall USA says, "We strongly recommend it as it can help alert the driver to children behind the vehicle when backing up."

Crash Protection

The Armada comes equipped with dual-stage front air bags, side-curtain airbags in all three rows, and seat belt pre-tensioners. Side-impact airbags for driver and passenger are standard on the LE and optional on the SE.
