The 2008 Pontiac Solstice does admirably in federal government crash tests. The Solstice comes standard with front, driver and right front passenger air bags with an occupant sensing feature.

The 2008 Pontiac Solstice convertible earns four out of five stars for both driver and front passenger protection in front impact crashes. In side impact crashes, the Solstice earns four stars for front seat occupant protection. The Solstice also earns five out of five stars for two-wheel drive rollover rating. BusinessWeek calls these crash test results, "respectable."
