Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Looking remarkably similar to the VUE and Equinox, the Torrent's style is neither loved nor hated by critics. New Car Test Drive observes that "Unlike most Pontiacs, Torrent's styling is restrained, clean and pleasing."
MSN finds styling "sporty enough for a roomy SUV," and the majority of reviews describe the exterior styling of the Pontiac Torrent as attractive and stylish. The Chicago Tribune notes that the Torrent "comes with the signature Pontiac twin-port grilles to set it apart from its cousins." The Detroit News thinks it's "one of the nicer shapes out there in the crossover/SUV segment." Kelley Blue Book, however, finds the styling generic, commenting, "If you're looking for an SUV that stands out from the pack, the Torrent's attractive shape barely pokes its head past the average mark."
