Based on analysis of 27 VUE-Hybrid reviews and test drives.
Safety - What the Auto Press Says
The brand-new 2008 Saturn VUE Green Line does very well in federal government crash tests. While reviewers criticized last year's model for lacking safety equipment, this year the Green Line gets standard electronic stability control and side-curtain air bags.
The Green Line gets four out of five stars for driver protection and a top score of five stars for passenger protection in frontal crash tests performed by the federal government. In side crash tests, it gets five stars for both front- and rear-seat protection.
Accident Avoidance
The VUE Green Line now comes standard with StabiliTrak, GM's electronic stability control system, as well as anti-lock brakes.
Crash Protection
The VUE Green Line comes with six standard air bags including dual-stage frontal and side-impact, driver and right-front passenger and head-curtain side-impact, as well as air bags in the front and rear outboard seating positions. Also included is an Automatic Occupant Sensing System for the front passenger, which detects the size of the passenger and adjusts air bag deployment accordingly. Standard OnStar services include Accident Assist, Advanced Automatic Crash Notification and Automatic Notification of Air Bag Deployment.
