Exterior - What the Auto Press Says
Although the brand-new xD doesn't receive the highest exterior score, most writers have nothing but praise for the hatchback's distinctive look. Road and Track notes it "exhibits less of a 'cute' air than the female-oriented xA," while About.com says, "I like what I see. Actually, in terms of the styling, I love what I see."
The majority notice how the xD has picked up popular Scion traits. Cars.com notes that it's "slightly less rounded than the xA, taking cues like a boxy grille and vertical bumper portals from the redesigned xB," and Car and Driver says "the xD, which shares more than a passing resemblance to the equally new, second-generation xB, wears sheetmetal that's handsome from the git-go."
