The 2008 Suzuki SX4 does well in government crash tests, and offers a generous helping of standard safety features to reassure buyers.
In government crash tests, the SX4 earns four out of four stars for both the driver and front passenger in frontal crashes, five stars for the front seat occupants' protection in side crashes, and four out of five stars for the backseat occupants' protection.
Accident Avoidance
The SX4 wagon's standard passive safety equipment includes anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, daytime running lights, all-wheel drive, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
Crash Protection
The SX4's standard active safety equipment includes dual-stage driver and front passenger air bags, front seat-mounted side impact air bags, two-row side curtain air bags, and front and rear side impact door beams. The three rear seating positions all have three-point shoulder belts, tall shingle-style headrests that drop down out of the driver's view when not in use, and LATCH child seat anchors.
