Reliability
The 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser reliability score of 8.0 out of 10 is the Predicted Reliability rating provided by J.D. Power and Associates. This score is based on trending the past three years of historical initial quality and dependability data from J.D. Power's automotive studies, specifically the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) and the Initial Quality Study (IQS).
The Land Cruiser comes equipped with Toyota's basic 36-month/36,000-mile warranty. In addition, the powertrain warranty covers the engine, transmission, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seat belts and air bags for 60 months or 60,000 miles. A rust-through warranty covers corrosion perforation of sheet metal for 60 months, regardless of mileage.
