Safety - What the Auto Press Says
The Toyota Tacoma ranks at the top of the class for safety. In Government Crash Tests the Tacoma earned five out of stars in both frontal and front-side crash tests, as well as a rollover rating of four stars. The four-door Tacoma receives an additional five stars for rear-seat occupant protection in side-impact crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awards the Toyota Tacoma the highest possible rating of "Good" for frontal-offset crash tests.
