Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The federal government gives the 2010 Acura TSX the highest safety rating -- five stars -- in all crash tests.  The insurance industry has not yet tested the 2010 model, but gave the 2009 model top scores of "Good" for its performance in front, side and rear impact tests. The TSX's standard safety features include Antilock Brakes, Advanced Compatibility Engineering and six airbags. A Vehicle Stability Assist System automatically corrects over- or understeer. Last year, Acura also added the Advanced Compatibility Engineering structure, which disperses collision force away from passengers in an accident.

  • "Safety hasn't been overlooked either, with everything from a full array of airbags to electronic stability control to tire pressure monitors included at no extra cost." -- New Car Test Drive
  • "Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure. ... will provide more efficient dispersal of frontal crash energy through load-bearing frame structures to spread the force of a frontal impact more effectively." -- Motor Trend
