Safety - What the Auto Press Says

The Vantage hasn't been crash tested by the federal government or insurance industry, but comes equipped with loads of assuring safety features -- including dual-stage driver and passenger front airbags, side airbags, anti-lock brakes, emergency brake assist, and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

Understandably, few auto writers mention the Vantage's safety systems -- as that's not a primary selling point of this type of vehicle. Some, however, complain about visibility issues.

  • "Its thick pillars and low-profile windows hamper visibility and tend to make occupants feel hunkered down." -- Edmunds
  • "The bottom of the super-rakish A-pillar results in a front blind spot at intersections." -- Motor Trend
